Established since 2005, Perfect Circle Poi teaches Beginner, Intermediate, Fire Poi and Fan Courses to a wide range of clients. Teaching a variety of students, from International Professional Fire Performers such as the renowned “Fuel Girls” to adults and children of all aspirations and abilities, we are a company that celebrates the beauty of the fire arts.
BEGINNER COURSE - TRICKS AND TECHNIQUES
The Beginner Course explores the basic poi moves including various circles forwards and backwards and reels in same and split time, carry turns, reel turns, pirouettes, stops, kicks, wraps, bounces, stalls, signature poi moves including inwards and outwards butterfly, butterfly turns, giant butterfly and extension moves, angel wings, shoulder reels, hip reels in same time and split time, forwards and backwards three beat weave, Giant, Extension, Lockouts (Flower transitions) and linking moves and turns through the weave and fountain, culminating in choreographic sequences and poi spinning performance techniques.
IF YOU KNOW JUST A FEW OF THESE MOVES, START WITH THE BEGINNER COURSE AND LEARN THE BEGINNER TRICKS BEFORE MOVING ONTO THE INTERMEDIATE COURSE.
Classes are fun and dynamic and students leave the course with a solid understanding of poi spinning, choreography and linking moves.
Join us for a spin in the Beginner course, it’s so much fun! The Beginners Course leads students to the Intermediate Course and then onto Fire Flaming Fun with the Advanced Fire Course. Take the first step on your Poi Adventure!

January/February 2026 Beginners Poi Spinning Course
Course Dates - Saturday Afternoons January 17th (NO CLASS Saturday 24th due to Australia Day Long Weekend) January 31st, February 7th and February 14th 2026 (4 week Course)
Time - 12pm - 2pm (2 hour class each week - 8 hours across the Course)
Venue - Captain Burke Park, Kangaroo Point, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
Course Fee - Summer Special $200.00 Course Fee available till January 31st 2026 (Usual Course Fee $250.00)
